CR is a mixed media artist who grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Later on, he would collaborate with Vito Giallo, Andy Warhol's first studio assistant. Together they created a series of of large collages based around "the found object."

CR majored in art history at Kenyon College, where he developed a love for photography. This development guided him to his present philosophy of "forgotten beauty found," where in his own words "[He sees] beauty in things that are lost and forgotten and passed up, abandoned, overlooked." This idea of being found, is the initial contribution to his own personal creative process. From old camera, to a Chair in Havana, CR brings life to objects and rebirths them as works of art that are something to celebrate.

CR continued with the theme of "forgotten beauty found" with his Pop Art Golf series. By coincidence, CR found thousands of works by the late illustrator Anthony Ravielli, in the back room of a gallery in New York. Using his vision, he brought these works back to life. As a lifelong golfer, the decision to repurpose and revive these works was an easy decision for CR. Golf is in CR's blood, with his great-uncle bringing the Ryder Cup to the United States, and his father being the best man at Jack Nicklaus' wedding. In this series, using his multimedia techniques, CR took black-and-white illustrations, altered their size, added new materials and vivid splashes of color.

Pop Art Golf works can be found in private and corporate collections, including Jack Nicklaus, PGA Star Tom Watson, and actor Nicolas Cage.
