The origins of Linard Fine Art can be traced back to Eric Linard Editions. Eric Linard Editions was first created in 1970 in Strasbourg, France. Then in 1996 it was moved to La Drome in southern France. The building in which it is located, was originally a silk spinning mill dating back to 1852. The mill was partially destroyed from the war and this is where Eric Linard's creative mind went to work. He spent years rebuilding the structure into a space dedicated to contemporary art, with two art galleries and a publishing workshop. Also on the grounds are multiple spaces for displaying sculptures and even a cafe.
The business as of now is two fold. They have the gallery and its' publishing worksop. Inside the gallery, they work with various artists to display their original works. In the publishing workshop they can reproduce almost any kind of art.
They currently work with 120 well-known and respected artists with over 1200 different prints available for purchase.
